Citrus Bergamot Extract
Polyphenol-rich extract from Citrus bergamia containing bergamottin, brutieridin, and melitidin. Brutieridin and melitidin are structural analogs of HMG-CoA reductase substrates, providing statin-like inhibition of cholesterol synthesis. Additionally activates AMPK in hepatocytes and inhibits pancreatic cholesterol ester transferase (ACAT), reducing intestinal cholesterol absorption.

Citrus bergamot is the lipid management supplement for people who want statin-like effects without statins. The brutieridin and melitidin molecules structurally mimic HMG-CoA substrates — same mechanism as statins, weaker magnitude, but additive with other interventions. Clinical data shows 20-30% LDL reduction and 20-40% triglyceride reduction at 1000mg daily. Pairs well with berberine for a non-pharmaceutical lipid stack.
